Lou Freeman was born into a loving family in Atlanta, GA. She grew up excelling in many of the creative arts and showed most impressive promise in photography and painting. By the age of 8, her talent was recognized and encouraged and this served as the catalyst for her pursuit of a career in the visual arts. As her creativity evolved, she left the Southeast and moved to New York to pursue her photography career. Lou’s passion for the visual arts has led her all over the globe. She’s traveled from Los Angeles to Chicago, London to Milan and Barcelona, honing her skills.

Lou has a Masters in Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and has studied at the International Center of Photography in New York. Her career in Photography spans 25+ years, insuring this visionary’s collection of work is as diverse as it is strong. Her goal is to consistently produce powerful images that engage the audience. Lou’s expertise, professionalism, and life long commitment to the arts has kept her name and talent top of mind in the Advertising, Fashion, and Fine Home Interiors/Exteriors industries.

Lou has been awarded two ADDYs and one OBIE for her advertising photography, she has taught at the Maui Photo Festival,Creative Circus and Portfolio Center in Atlanta, and has been featured as a guest lecturer for the APA, PPA, After Dark EDU.

Today, Ms. Freeman continues to find inspiration in a broad range of corporate clients as well as fashion. She has become sought after for her expertise, professionalism, and lifelong commitment to the arts.

Lou's true joy has become symphony of artistic steps in building perfect images for her clients. She believes in empowering her team of excellence to achieve almost any dream she can see in her mind eye.

In all cases listed, Lou created concepts and initiated photo shoots for individuals celebrities, magazine editorials and for advertising campaigns. In the case of Sara Lee and Hane's Brands, Lou completed an amazing 13 years shooting agreements and 4 consecutive packaging sequences for Hane's Mens Underwear and Hanes Women and Mens Classic's divisions. Lou has also been a a regular featured photographer is such fine fashion magazines as Italian Harpers Bazaar.

In all cases, Lou designed a plan, produced,hired and managed crews to create these shoots from start to finish. Lou also planed many back to back shoots with multiple locations,lodging, catering and model coordination.

These shoots have ranged from studio to far remote locations all of which Lou loves to embrace with the camera.
